RED MOUNTAIN AVA
Reminiscent of Pauillac in Bordeaux, this wine expresses ample amounts of cassis, black currants, wood smoke and lavender. There are also blackberry and blueberry pie dough notes with touches of cocoa and cardamom seed. It is rich and savory now as well as providing reward from cellaring. On the palate, the flavors reinforce the nose with Marionberries, black currants, cedar and classic Bordeaux earthiness. By implementing softer farming techniques, Old World trellising systems and superior clonal selection, there is more opportunity to enhance terroir of the vineyard allowing the wine's character to soar. This is the first bottling for DeLille Cellars made from 100% certified sustainably-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon from the Upchurch Vineyard on the Red Mountain AVA.
