RED MOUNTAIN AVA

This is a powerful blend of four of the best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards from the Red Mountain AVA showcasing Klipsun, our own Grand Ciel, Ciel du Cheval and Upchurch Vineyard. It exhibits all the great depth and richness along with a purity of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit that we expect from Red Mountain. By combining the four vineyards, this wine demonstrates a wealth of complex nuances. The aromas reveal blueberries, Damson plums, lavender, roses, cherries and cigar box characters. At the same moment, the flavors expand to include blackberries, blueberries, cassis and stone minerals. An intriguing spicy finish showing nutmeg, anise and wood spice round out this complete wine. Firm ripe tannins speak to the wine’s youth and illustrate its great structure -- an impressive wine from beginning to end that will age well and mature for the next 10 to 15 years.
