2017 Signature Syrah
COLUMBIA VALLEY AVA
Fresh blue fruit aromas announce the hedonism of this 2017 Signature Syrah, and are joined by enticing savory notes of lavender and violets, olive tapenade, and a hint of sweet smoke. Cured meat, blackberry and dark plum flavors on the palate are buoyed by vibrant acidity, and a savory breath of herbs and a whisper of blood orange. Well balanced throughout and builds in generosity with additional tastes, with supple tannin and excellent length

Production
In 1997 we released our first vintage of Syrah & in 2002 it was selected in Robert Parker’s 15 Great Syrahs from Around the World. The sandy loam soils & cool nights of the Yakima Valley contribute to crafting a wine with incredible generosity of flavors & spices – qualities that elevate Syrah into an unparalleled category. We choose to co-ferment our Syrah with two percent Viognier, adding another dimension of citrus & floral spices to the bouquet. First vintage 1997.
